Welcome to Flippers Swim School
Flippers Swim School was started in 2010, when Nikki Britz had the desire for a warm, intimate, friendly swimming environment. Lessons are 1 on 1 so that each swimmers personal needs are catered for, and their strenghs are used to benefit a faster learning process. The instructor is always in the pool ensuring the swimmer is comfortable and safe.
At Flippers our 10m x 4m pool is tranquil with the indoor facility allowing a warmer environment, minimal noise disruption and environmental distractions. Warm water and a comfortable depth complete this learning environment.

Become water safe in a fun, warm, comfortable and friendly environment. Skill developed includes building confidence to submerging underwater, to understanding and developing buoyancy and propulsion. This is a continuous process of informal aquatic play and games involving floatation, sculling, water friction and an introduction to strokes. Learners build confidence and strength as well as co-ordination, flexibility and eventually can move to intermediate phase of improved self confidence and speed.
Nikki Britz trained with swimming South Africa in 2007, and in 2010 completed training with PBSTA (proffesional Baby Swim Teachers association) and has been teaching full time since 2007. She has also taught school group swimming at local popular junior schools. Her hobby, since a teenager, of open water swimming lead her to do the Robben Island to Big Bay swim in 2010.
Swimming Instructors are cheerful role models who inspire confidence, positivity and trust. These educated professionals provide a stimulating environment and constantly analyze the swimmers performance in order to provide feedback that will nurture fewer mistakes, greater accuracy, speed and quicker responses by modifying the action plan for each learner.

Swimming for Babies
We do 1 on 1 lessons for your babies from 6 months old. Together we develop water awareness, safety and basic swimming skills.

Adult Classes
Private lessons from beginner to learning proper strokes. At Flippers our 10m x 4m pool is tranquil with the indoor facility allowing a warmer environment, minimal noise disruption and distractions. Warm water and a comfortable depth complete this learning environment.
